MY PATH, MY PACE SERIES
ONGOING INITIATIVES
-
A formal dinner and award ceremony honoring the hard work and resilience of COAS students. This event would have celebrated the legacy we are building and continuing at Howard University, while also serving as the award ceremony for the prestigious Flagship Scholarships. Not completed due to funding of external organizations.
-
The Flagship Center would be a dedicated student hub for collaborative projects and relaxation. This space would be developed in partnership with COAS leadership and the HUSA executive team to ensure that it meets the diverse needs of students. Supported in the future for all next undergraduate councils as a collaborative effort.

Two bills were passed, with the Access to Success Act creating and institutionalizing the Feed the Herd Initiative.

-
Timeless Council holds dedicated office hours Monday through Friday, allowing students to walk in, share their concerns, feedback, and needs, making sure they are addressed promptly and efficiently. Timeless Office Hours completed and logged over 2,000 office hours from all 110 council members.
-
In partnership with the HUSA Judiciary, HUSA Executive, and HUSA Senate, this initiative bridged the gap between COAS students and the judicial branch of student government. It included a video series explaining the rules, protocols, and procedures for hearings. Empowering students with this knowledge increased transparency and accessibility, helping everyone understand their rights within student affairs and government.
-
COAS holds the largest budget on campus, and although councils cannot fund scholarships, and it was TIME to allocate external resources to fund the scholarships for students in need. We provided funding to organizations such as the Howard University Speech and Debate Team, The Howard University Mock Trial team, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), Caribbean Student Association, and Muslim Student Association.
-
This initiative planned to motivate Bison innovators to create transformative solutions, showcase their talents, and build a legacy in the evolving tech industry. Executive Council was able to meet with the Nations Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) to discuss needs towards attending conferences in technology and entrepreneurship. This organization was able to attend the 29th Annual Golden Torch awards the third weekend of March.
-
To ensure the universities efforts with career fairs did not minimize our efforts, we lead our first ever Pre-Professional Week, in collaboration with the graduate schools and the Cathy Huges School of Communications.
-
Completed and visited Freshman Seminar as an Executive Council to speak with freshman, matching all 700+ freshman with individualized mentors.
-
Cultivated future leaders by providing hands-on experience, mentorship, and skill-building opportunities to 22 First-Year students aligned with the values of service, innovation, and student engagement.
